A leading step to Science Across the World

Fig.1  Mohamed Ali – 8 years old, in a deep thinking with a coloring sheet about global warmingScientists Of Tomorrow (SOT) is a group of activities for kids aged from 3 to 8 years, based on Science Across the World topics.
These activities include: Coloring sheets, Stories, Flashes, Quizzes, Cartoons and Songs, extracted from the useful links of the SAW site and focused on some of the important topics that attract kids, like: Global Warming, Domestic Waste and Drinking Water.

The idea of SOT is adopted by Mr. Magdy El Sharkawy (chairman of the Arab Environment Association "AEA").

The program is designed and supervised by Mrs. Mariam El Agamy (SAW Egypt co-ordinator).

The pictures were taken during a SOT activity in the Computer Studies Institute in Alexandria.

 



Promoting Science Across The World in Al Salam private Language School in Tanta, Egypt

Al Salam private Language School is the biggest school in Tanta, Egypt. It includes 5000 students from K.G to I.G.C.S.E.
The SAW programme finds a lot of support and a great acceptance from administrators and teachers.

4 Topics will be applied: Plants and me, Eating and Drinking, Climate Change and Talking about Genetics, starting from October 2008.
The administrators decided to introduce these topics through the curriculum activities in both primary and middle schools.
