New Comenius/Grundtvig course in Amsterdam, the NetherlandsFrom 29 June - 6 July 2008 a new Sciece Across the World course is organised in Amsterdam with course leaders Keith Kelly and Lida Schoen: Science Across the World: Using the Internet for Inter-school Communication. All teachers in EU countries are allowed to take part with a Comenius/Grundtvig grant. Have a look at www.amsu.edu/courses/COM-1/. The course code is NL-2007-144-002. Deadline for most National Agencies: January 31, 2008, so visit the AMSU site with all details immediately and contact your National Agency. SummaryIn short, it's a course for finding partners, investigating schools exchange projects, discussing materials for research between two schools, a platform for the Science Across the World programme, and preparation for school linking via EU funding opportunities. This means that you find colleagues to work with you, prepare the project, learn how to apply, and get started on the course itself.
Our last course was a great week, we were bursting at the edges! And it makes for a guaranteed good international dinner when you have people from all over Europe all bringing samples from their home.
This year Keith' contribution will be Bulgarian lyutenitsa, Oriahovitsa wine, and I'll see if I can get my wife to bake up some milinki as well since she and our baby Dara will be coming with me. Lida's contribution will be typically Dutch, come and find out! Does that wet anyone's appetite? Come and join us. January 2008 Text: Keith Kelly and Lida Schoen
