Science Across the World in Egypt celebrates World Water Day 2007 
The Arab Environment Association under the supervision of the chair person Mr Magdy El-Sharkawy arranged a big march for World Water Day headed by Science Across the World (SAW) Egyptian students. The march included more than 2,000 people from all parts of society. The aim of the march was to highlight the problem of fresh water scarcity and peoples’ rights and responsibilities. Science Across the World Egyptian Students Pre-event ActivitiesSupervised by Mrs Mariam El-Agamy, Deputy Head, El-Nasir Girls College Many forum discussions were arranged with SAW-Egyptian students with the help of the board of advisors focusing on the problem of water scarcity in Egypt and how they can find solutions for such problems and the plan of SAW students to help in solving some of these problems. This work was based on the Drinking Water topic which is available in Arabic. SAW-Egyptian students prepared some points for discussion with the scientists and the policy makers in the Water Wise committee They shared the declaration. The committee was managed by Mr Magdy El-Sharkawy representing NGO’s. Here are some examples of the art work produced by the Science Across the World Egyptian students in celebration of World Water Day on 22 March 2007.
