Physics Across the World Poster Competition
 
A poster competition for students aged 10 – 16 years to mark Einstein Year www.einsteinyear.org and the World Year of Physics www.wyp2005.org in 2005.
Students are asked to create their own colourful posters to show how physics applications make their life better and how physics has a positive impact on their everyday life. For ideas, please click here

Languages
We encourage all languages, but the poster should be self-explanatory.
On the computer or on paper?
We accept electronic poster entries as well as paper ones. In all cases the format should be A3 (42 X 29.7 cm).
We also encourage other entries like a PowerPoint or a multimedia presentation. Please note that entries on paper cannot be returned.
File Formats for electronic entries
For the poster: *.doc, *.pdf,*.gif or *.jpg
For other entries: *.ppt or *.htm
Application procedure
Schools should send their paper entries to Science Across the World, The Association for Science Education, College Lane, Hatfield, Herts. AL10 9AA, United Kingdom.
Electronic entries should be emailed to saw@ase.org.uk
Entries should include the student name(s), age, teacher’s name, school name and contact details, including country.
Shortlisted entries will be displayed at EPS13 (Beyond Einstein Physics for the 21st Century) in Bern, Switzerland from 11-15 July 2005 where an international panel of judges will decide on a winner and runners-up.

Prizes for teachers with the most quality entries
- 3 X DSC-P120 Cyber-shot 5MP (£225) and an individual years membership of the Institute of Physics
- 6 X free years membership of the Institute of Physics
The winning posters will be announced by an international panel of judges at EPS 13 in Bern. All winning posters will be displayed on the Science Across the World and Einstein Year websites, as well as at various science education conferences in different parts of the world.
This Physics Across the World poster competition is designed by Science Across the World in partnership with the European Physical Society and the Institute of Physics in the UK, to mark Einstein Year and the World Year of Physics in 2005.
