Title: Water – The Lifeline of our Ecosystems
“The constant action of the water cycle helps to shape our Earth. Rocks and soil are worn down, rivers gouge out new paths and storms flood our valleys and plains, often leaving behind rich mud and topsoil. Sometimes it removes the rich soil and rivers carry it away to the oceans. High in mountains rain and snow from the water cycle, form huge ice glaciers which grind their way downhill driven by the forces of gravity. Are we going to defy these forces of nature by destroying our ecosystem when we pollute the waters with waste from the factories oil slugs and clog our rivers with rubbish? We need to take responsibility to ensure that water is a sustainable resource for generations to come”.
